Bev and Mark Houlding have been working together as independent artists for 20 years. Beginning in 1984 at the start of the designer maker movement under the name of "Screens Gallery" they made room screens, experimenting with many different materials including glass, metal, and sail cloth. Over the next 10 years carved and painted wood became the preferred method of working, producing large free standing paintings. These pieces were exhibited widely in the U.K and internationally and were collected by private and corporate clients including public musems. |
